Markee 3.0: Save It Now. Actually Read It Later.

Everyone has a reading list they never get to: the open tabs, the links sent to yourself, the article saved for a quieter moment. Markee 3.0 is built to close that gap. It is a read-later app for iPhone, iPad and Mac that makes saving effortless and turns reading what you saved into a habit.

This release brings sync across all your devices, sign-in with Apple or Google, and private, on-device AI summaries. Markee is designed and built by independent developer Kestutis K of UAB "Itesta".

Life after Pocket

When Pocket closed its doors in 2025, readers everywhere lost the home of their saved articles. Most of the alternatives fall into one of two camps: bare-bones bookmark lists, or research tools so packed with features that they feel like work.

Markee takes the middle path. Saving a link takes a single tap, and Markee goes further than storage. It brings your favourite sites to you, distils long reads into a few lines, and nudges you back when your list starts to pile up.

Everything you need, nothing you don't

Save from anywhere. Tap Share in Safari or any other app, choose Markee, and you're done. Every link arrives with a thumbnail, so your list is as easy to scan as it is to build.

Organise it your way. Create groups for work, hobbies or the trip you're planning. Favourite the links that matter, and swipe the rest into the Tray, an archive that tidies itself over time.

Read in peace. Articles open in Markee's built-in reader, so you never bounce between apps. Choose light, dark, or match your system.

Get the gist in seconds. Short on time? On devices with Apple Intelligence, Markee summarises long articles on the spot. Watch the summary appear as it's written, then copy it wherever you need it.

Follow the sources you love. Subscribe to RSS feeds and YouTube channels, or explore a curated catalog. New users pick a few feeds during setup, so Markee feels full from the very first launch.

Make reading a habit. An optional daily reminder keeps your list moving, and search finds anything you've ever saved.

Markee Premium: your library, everywhere

With Markee Premium, your reading list goes wherever you do: iPhone, iPad and Mac. Sign in with Apple or Google, and the links you saved, your groups and feed subscriptions stay in sync across every device. Offline? Markee catches up the moment you reconnect.

Sync is deliberately selective. Articles from your feeds stay put, even when you favourite them, so your synced library holds only what you chose to save. The Tray stays on each device, too. And turning sync on or off never deletes anything stored locally.

Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, with an introductory offer for eligible new subscribers. Already own the lifetime unlock? You keep Premium automatically, at no extra cost.

Private by design, native by nature

Markee's AI summaries are generated entirely on your device by Apple's Foundation Models. What you read is never sent to an AI service, and there's no account or API key to set up.

Built in Swift and SwiftUI, Markee looks and behaves the way an Apple app should. It has thoughtful empty states, VoiceOver support across the list, reader and sidebar, and friendly error messages with a one-tap Retry. Sync is the only feature that needs an account, and it's entirely optional.
